Iowa Law and Self Defense
December 8 @ 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm
You train with your gun to defend your life. Now you need to learn how to defend your freedom.
What does Iowa’s new “Stand Your Ground” law really mean? Maybe you have your permit to carry a gun, but do you know when you are legally justified in using it? If you ever had to use your firearm in self-defense, do you know how to handle yourself in the legal aftermath of that event? How do your responsibilities and legal standing change when you are home, versus when you are carrying in public?
Permit to Carry classes give you the very basic information that you need to know to get your permit. Iowa Law and Self-Defense gives you the information you need to know to be a responsible and well-prepared gun owner and carrier. We cover everything from mindset, to the legal elements of self-defense, to law enforcement interaction in the aftermath of a deadly force encounter.
Taught by an Iowa licensed attorney, NRA Certified Pistol Instructor, and graduate of Andrew Branca’s Law of Self-Defense Instructor Certification program, this class is a must for all who want to be fully prepared gun owners.
This is a classroom-only seminar – no live fire or firearms required (approximately 3.5 hours). An optional instructor-led laser simulation session is available after the classroom seminar to allow students to put their knowledge into action, immediately followed by a debrief and professional feedback on your self-defense decision making.
